We are very pleased to announce that our Keynote speakers will be Stephen Bonner and Ken Munro. Both of these guys have many years security experience and a wealth of information to share. Possibly more importantly, they are also extremely entertaining speakers – no one is going to forget Ken talking about the “Internet of Thingies” or Stephen dressed up as Frankenstein’s Monster.
A quick introduction for those who may not know them….
Stephen Bonner is a partner at Deloitte focused on Financial Services Cyber Security. Before consulting, he was Group Head of Information Risk Management at Barclays. He was inducted into the InfoSec “Hall of Fame” in 2010 and was number 1 on the SC Magazine/ISC2 ‘Most Influential 2010’ list. When not balancing risk, compliance and security issues he undertakes endurance challenges for charity, running the London Marathon for Whitehat/Childline and for Shelter both leading a team climbing Mount Kilimanjaro and escaping in a swim from Alcatraz without a wetsuit. He is currently training with a relay team to swim the Channel in June for Aspire. Stephen is a regular BSides presenter and a strong supporter of the movement.
Ken Munro has been working in IT security for over 15 years. He writes for various newspapers and industry magazines, and regularly advises the broader press and news broadcasters. He works at Pen Test Partners who specialise in helping organisations understand and quantify risk to their business. In an effort to get beyond the unhelpful FUD put about by many security vendors Ken speaks widely on computer security and the Internet of Things.
